ATPase PulE and XcpR from Klebsiella oxytoca and Pseudomonas aeruginosa respectively are required for protein secretion via the T2SS. ATPase PilB is required for T4P extension [2]. The type II protein secretion system (T2SS) is a sophisticated multi-protein machinery containing 12-15 different proteins [3]. Historically, this system was described as the main terminal branch (MTB) of the general secretory pathway (GSP), but this nomenclature is now on obsolete [4].	Domain
