UniProtKB description:  Minor structural protein that forms a portal-like structure at a unique three-fold axis of symmetry, following binding to the host receptor (PubMed:30626974). The virion attaches to feline junctional adhesion molecule A (F11R) (Probable). Once attached, the virion is endocytosed. Acidification of the endosome induces conformational change of capsid protein thereby injecting virus genomic RNA into host cytoplasm (Probable). The channel formed by VP2 may allow the delivery of the viral genome through the host endosomal membrane (Probable).
